Design System
An app conceived by Lucas Romanó that, through community participation, provides a space to document stories connected to architectural landmarks and strengthens people's connection to the city's memory, going beyond a digital archive to spark collective memory, encourage cultural preservation, and bring different generations closer together.
My role
Definition of the brand's visual identity and logo;
Creation of the information architecture;
UX design focused on story search, discovery, and publishing;
UI development for mobile devices;
Creation of wireframes and prototypes to validate concepts and user journeys;
Design system structuring to ensure visual consistency and product scalability;
Creation of illustrations and supporting graphic elements for the platform's visual communication.
UX | UI

Mid-fidelity wireframes were used to validate the information architecture, content hierarchy, and key navigation flows before moving into visual design.
From there, we ran usability tests focused on essential tasks, such as finding stories and publishing new content, identifying friction points and opportunities for improvement early in the project.
Visual Identity
The visual identity was built to reinforce the concept of preserving the city's collective memory. The graphic language combines references to historical newspapers, printed archives, and documentary records, creating an immediate connection to the world of urban stories and memories.
The warm color palette and neutral tones were chosen to convey closeness, legacy, and authenticity, without compromising digital performance or readability.

The typographic system was structured to balance identity and usability.
DM Serif Text was applied to headings and highlighted elements to reinforce the brand's editorial character, while Heebo was used for the interface's functional content (long-form text, labels, and links), ensuring comfortable reading, clear hierarchy, and strong performance across different screen sizes.
Design System
The design system was built to reduce redundant decisions throughout the project — and to make handoff with the front-end team manageable. Button components, story cards, inputs, and the navigation bar were all defined with state variations (default, hover, disabled, error) before being applied to the screens.
Results
These decisions helped avoid inconsistencies across distinct flows — search, story creation, and profile all have different visual patterns by nature, and the system ensured they still felt like the same product.
This structure reduced rework between design and development and increased the ability to scale new features without compromising the user experience.
